Are you looking for an exciting Intern opportunity on your journey to becoming an LPC/LMFT or MSW?  Our Outpatient Department is seeking passionate, engaging and motivated students such as yourself to join our team! Outpatient therapy is how LVF began and is one of our largest service lines today.  As an Outpatient Intern, you will have an opportunity to gain a broad range of experience, working with children, adolescents, and adults; offering individual, family, and group therapy for clients with a variety of diagnoses and presenting problems.

Our SPRING Cohort Starts in January.  Applications should be submitted by October 15th.

What You’ll Do: 

  • Provide individual and family therapy to children, adolescents, and adults with a variety of diagnoses and presenting problems.
  • Co-facilitate group sessions.

What We Require: 

  • Must be currently enrolled in a master’s program in Psychology, Social Work, or Marriage and Family Therapy.
  • Must have completed most coursework before beginning internship, particularly, all techniques classes and ethics must be completed.
  • Must be able to work at least 15 hours per week.
  • Must be able to come into the office at least 1 day per week for group and in-person sessions
  • LPC/MFT Internship: Duration of assignment is at least 12 months or 3 semesters.
  • MSW Internship: Duration of assignment is at least 9 months or 2 semesters.
  • Ability to perform the physical requirements of the internship, with or without accommodation.
