Job Description

Starting Rate: $20.51 per hour 

Shift Differential: $1.25 per hour 

POSITION SUMMARY

Prepare materials for shipment, unload, load, stock and distribute materials, equipment, and other items from warehouse, or storage areas.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Follow all company Policies and Procedures, Quality and Environmental Management Systems (QMS & EMS), Kawasaki Production System (KPS) and any other legal and compliance regulations that may apply such as OSHA.
  • Pull parts and deliver per customer requests.
  • May assist in other areas of department.
  • Verify and inspect shipments, record data and communicate to appropriate personnel when necessary.
  • Manually or mechanically transport materials between loading, unloading, production, and storage areas, including transport of hazardous materials.
  • May assist in verification of inventory stock and communicate to appropriate personnel.
  • Operate or tend to manual or automated packaging, or cutting machines.
  • Determine and prepare materials and packaging for secured transport or shipment.
  • Weigh materials or products and record weight and other production data on tags or labels.
  • Mark stock items using identification tags, stamps, electric marking tools, or other labeling equipment.
  • Unpack and stock items in an orderly and accessible manner in warehouses following first in and first out methods.
  • Perform routine maintenance on racks which may include installation.
  • Perform safety inspection and routine maintenance on vehicles and auxiliary equipment, such as cleaning, recharging batteries, or replacing propane tanks.
  • Collect cardboard and trash receptacles and dump; may collect recyclable containers for pickup and complete necessary documentation.
  • Properly dispose of obsolete parts.
  • Monitor drop zone items and store in appropriate area, adjust drop zone status in system.
  • Performs job duties in a safe and appropriate manner as well as follows all work and safety rules including any specialized safety and health training.
  • Responsible for cleanliness of work area.
