We are currently seeking a Counter Sales Associate who will provide quality customer service and sales assistance to customers on a face-to-face basis at the branch and via phone calls. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining the counter area by keeping it stocked and presentable.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist customers and contractors with information and materials they need.
  • Provide outstanding customer service by creating a friendly environment, greeting and acknowledging every customer, and maintaining product knowledge.
  • Handle incoming phone calls from customers, offering assistance in pricing materials, researching information, and taking orders.
  • Review open customer orders, take action on open items, and inform customers when their material is ready for pick-up.
  • Ensure that all displays are full, placed appropriately, and visually appealing.
  • Pull and pack orders for truck shipments, inter-branch transfers, and pick-ups.
  • Support the Marketing department with promotions.
  • Maintain the cleanliness and professional appearance of the branch.
  • Manage daily cash intake and reconcile it with sales.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Basic electrical industry knowledge/experience.
  • Solid verbal communication skills and professional demeanor.
  • Basic math skills.
  • Problem-solving and reasoning skills to determine customers' needs and offer product solutions.
  • Knowledge of PC/MS Office applications, especially Excel and Outlook, and ability to learn company business system.
  • Ability to handle confidential information and financial transactions discreetly.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
