About this position: 

The Retail Instructional Designer role is responsible for developing and delivering effective learning solutions for our retail division. This role will collaborate closely with subject matter experts, trainers, and leaders to design, develop, and implement training programs that enhance employee knowledge, skills, and performance.

What you’ll do: 

  • Design and develop engaging, interactive, and learner-centered training materials and programs for retail division.
  • Apply instructional design principles to create effective learning experiences for diverse set of learners, including e-learning modules, instructor-led training, webinars, and job aids.
  • Manage and update existing training content to ensure accuracy and relevance, aligning with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
  • Work with key stakeholders to conduct needs assessments and analyze performance gaps to identify learning objectives and develop targeted training solutions. Partner with subject matter experts, trainers, and stakeholders to gather content and ensure alignment of training initiatives with organizational goals.
  • Implement evaluation strategies to measure training effectiveness and continuously improve learning programs based on feedback and analytics. Utilize learning management systems (LMS) and other technology tools to deliver and track training programs efficiently.
  • Responsible for adhering to and complying with all applicable federal and state laws, regulations and guidance, adhering to Bank policies and procedures, and completing required training.
  • The employee consistently demonstrates a commitment to the culture of Lake Michigan Credit Union.

What you’ll bring:

  • A minimum of one year up to three years of similar or related experience. At least two years of experience in instructional design with Retail experience specific to Lake Michigan Credit Union being preferred, including knowledge of banking products and software.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Education, Instructional Design or a related field of study.
  • Certification in Instructional Design is preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
