The Lutheran Home is seeking a dedicated Housekeeper to help create a clean and welcoming environment for our residents. In this role, you’ll play a key part in supporting the comfort and well-being of those we serve – whether you’re starting your career or bringing prior experience. Your attention to detail and commitment to quality will ensure residents enjoy a comfortable living space while reflecting our core values of service, excellence, dignity, fulfillment, grace, and stewardship. Responsibilities may include but are not limited to: 

• Maintain cleanliness in the resident’s room 
• Clean bathrooms daily and restocking toiletries
• Empty trash cans and dispose of the waste in designated areas
• Sweep, mop, and vacuum as needed
• Clean common areas of the facility including hallways, living rooms and dining rooms
• Clean the shower room
• Pack and move personal items for room changes
• Clean and change out beds as needed
• Inspect areas for needed repairs or maintenance and report findings per policy
• Follow proper procedures in the use of chemicals in the workplace and ensure they are secured when not in use

Skills and Qualifications:

• Excellent customer service skills
• Attention to detail
• Minimum age of 18
• High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred
• Housekeeping or eldercare experience preferred
