· Clean and disinfect patient rooms, surgical suites, emergency rooms, and other clinical areas.
· Perform terminal cleaning of discharged patient rooms following infection control guidelines.
· Sanitize high-touch surfaces and restock supplies in restrooms and common areas.
· Safely handle and dispose of biohazardous waste and sharps containers.
· Operate hospital-grade cleaning equipment (e.g., UV disinfection systems, floor scrubbers).
· Follow strict protocols for infection prevention, including use of PPE.
· Respond promptly to emergency cleaning requests and spills.
· Maintain confidentiality and demonstrate compassion in patient care areas.
· Document cleaning activities as required by hospital policy.
· High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
· Previous housekeeping experience in a healthcare setting strongly preferred.
· Knowledge of infection control and hospital sanitation standards.
· Ability to follow verbal and written instructions and hospital procedures.
· Strong attention to detail and ability to work in fast-paced environments.
· Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand/walk for extended periods, and perform repetitive tasks.
· Must be able to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays.
