Job Description

Job Summary:

The Manufacturing Industrial Engineer I is responsible for providing manufacturing cost estimates to Product Management.  This Engineer is responsible for creating and maintaining bills of material and routings.  This Engineer participates on Product Realization Process (PRP) project teams providing support for costing, trial assessment, packaging validation, system set-up, work instructions and problem resolution.

Essential Functions:

  • Influences key associates to promote participation and cooperation in cost development and new part process development.
  • Support department and company objectives to include continuous improvement initiatives to achieve customer satisfaction and fulfillment needs.
  • Work closely with PRP teams to promote ongoing Continuous Improvement of manufacturing methods, systems and controls.
  • Create Manufacturing Cost Estimates (MCRs) for Product Management and Project Teams. Create Manufacturing Assessments (MAs) during product trial.
  • Creates Work Instructions for new parts. Set up JDE ERP system for new items.
  • Create and maintain BOMs and Routings in JDE system. Determine and validate new part packaging

Other Functions:

  • Identification of improvement in equipment, processes, and methods.
  • Ensure proper handoff of new projects and part to manufacturing.
  • Manage changes using the OCN (Operational Change Notice) system.

What You’ll Bring:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Relevant Experience
  • Relevant Internship experience or Previous Work Experience
  • Proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite
  • Time Management Skills
  • Must have a valid driver's license, with an acceptable driving record, along with adequate insurance
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
