Position Title: Fountain Technician:
Location: Miamisburg, OH
FLSA: Non-Exempt
We are seeking an experienced Fountain Technician to oversee the daily fountain operations of our Miamisburg, Ohio branch. The ideal candidate will have a knack for maintenance and repair of machinery and an ability to learn additional needed skills to succeed in this role; along with a background and passion for fisheries, wildlife and pond and lake management.
Essential Duties:
- Perform routine small motor maintenance, such as replacing mechanical seals and sacrificial parts
- Installation of new lake fountains and pond aerations systems in the field
- Discuss equipment issues, maintenance plans/progress, and work performed with customers
- Test and inspect for malfunctioning parts
- Adjust components according to specifications
- Repair or replace worn, defective, or broken parts in accordance with manufacturer specs
- Reassemble and reinstall components and motors following repairs
- Keep records of inspections, test results, work performed, and parts used
- Stay up-to-date with various products and technologies to ensure Jones Lake Management is leading the industry on systems
- Protect and safeguard all Company assets (vehicles, product, etc.)
- Various other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Associate’s Degree or higher in Biology, Water Resources, Fisheries related course study, or equivalent work experience
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities
- Customer service experience and excellent communication skills
- Detail oriented with good dexterity
- Mechanical & troubleshooting skills
- Problem solving
Physical Requirements:
- Must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
- Regularly required to reach with hands/arms
- Frequently required to stand; talk or hear, walk, and use hands to operate objects, tools, or controls
- Must occasionally sit; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
- Must be able to swim and work in inclement weather conditions
Special Requirements:
- Must possess a valid Driver’s License with an excellent driving record
- Must be able to work weekends
