The ideal candidate will have an Associate's degree or higher in Biology, Water Resources, or a related field, or equivalent work experience, along with mechanical, troubleshooting, and customer service skills.

Job Description

Position Title:    Fountain Technician: Location:           Miamisburg, OH FLSA:                 Non-Exempt We are seeking an experienced Fountain Technician to oversee the daily fountain operations of our Miamisburg, Ohio branch.  The ideal candidate will have a knack for maintenance and repair of machinery and an ability to learn additional needed skills to succeed in this role; along with a background and passion for fisheries, wildlife and pond and lake management. Essential Duties:
  • Perform routine small motor maintenance, such as replacing mechanical seals and sacrificial parts
  • Installation of new lake fountains and pond aerations systems in the field
  • Discuss equipment issues, maintenance plans/progress, and work performed with customers
  • Test and inspect for malfunctioning parts
  • Adjust components according to specifications
  • Repair or replace worn, defective, or broken parts in accordance with manufacturer specs
  • Reassemble and reinstall components and motors following repairs
  • Keep records of inspections, test results, work performed, and parts used
  • Stay up-to-date with various products and technologies to ensure Jones Lake Management is leading the industry on systems
  • Protect and safeguard all Company assets (vehicles, product, etc.)
  • Various other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
  • Associate’s Degree or higher in Biology, Water Resources, Fisheries related course study, or equivalent work experience
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities
  • Customer service experience and excellent communication skills
  • Detail oriented with good dexterity
  • Mechanical & troubleshooting skills
  • Problem solving
Physical Requirements:
  • Must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
  • Regularly required to reach with hands/arms
  • Frequently required to stand; talk or hear, walk, and use hands to operate objects, tools, or controls
  • Must occasionally sit; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
  • Must be able to swim and work in inclement weather conditions
Special Requirements:
  • Must possess a valid Driver’s License with an excellent driving record
  • Must be able to work weekends
