The Catering Specialist plays a key role in delivering exceptional catering experiences by supporting sales coordination, client relationships, and event execution. This position works closely with clients and internal teams to ensure every catering order is accurate, well-coordinated, and executed to the highest standards. The role blends customer service, organization, and operational support to create seamless and memorable events.

Key Responsibilities

Sales Coordination & Order Support

• Work closely with the sales team to understand client needs, budgets, and preferences

• Assist with menu planning, event logistics, and customized catering solutions

• Support the coordination and accuracy of catering orders and event details

• Ensure all orders meet company standards, timelines, and operational requirements

Client Relationship Management

• Build and maintain strong relationships with catering clients

• Respond to client inquiries promptly and professionally

• Provide a high level of customer service to encourage repeat business and referrals

Event Coordination & Execution

• Coordinate event logistics including delivery timing, setup, and service details

• Communicate clearly with culinary, operations, and delivery teams

• Support event execution to ensure quality, accuracy, and client satisfaction

• Address and resolve any issues or last-minute changes with professionalism and urgency

Food Safety & Quality Control

• Maintain high standards of food safety, sanitation, and hygiene

• Ensure proper food handling, presentation, and service quality

• Support adherence to all health and safety guidelines

Marketing & Business Support

• Assist in promoting catering services through social media, marketing materials, and community engagement

• Support outreach efforts to attract new catering clients

Post-Event Follow-Up

• Assist with gathering client feedback following events

• Identify opportunities for improvement and enhanced service

• Support efforts to drive repeat business and long-term client relationships

Requirements

 Qualifications & Skills

• Previous experience in catering, hospitality, or event coordination preferred

• Strong customer service and communication skills

• Excellent organizational and time management abilities

• Ability to manage multiple tasks and events in a fast-paced environment

• Problem-solving skills with the ability to stay calm under pressure

• Knowledge of food safety standards and best practices preferred

• Flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends as needed

Physical Requirements

• Prolonged periods of standing, walking, and moving during event setup and execution

• Ability to lift and carry items up to 25 pounds (food trays, supplies, equipment)

• Ability to work in a kitchen and event environment with varying temperatures

• Ability to operate standard kitchen and office equipment
