Job Description

Pioneer Athletics is seeking a passionate and innovative Graphic Design Intern to join our Marketing team. This internship offers a unique opportunity to work directly with our Senior Graphic Designer and Content Marketing Lead to create impactful, on-brand visuals across a variety of platforms. As an integral part of our design team, you will gain hands-on experience in creating design materials that support our company’s marketing and sales efforts, all while enhancing your portfolio and skill set in a real-world, fast-paced business environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design Graphics for Marketing and Sales Materials: Create dynamic, on-brand graphics for marketing and sales presentations, brochures, banners, product catalogs, and promotional materials. Your designs will help drive brand recognition and support sales efforts across both digital and print mediums.
  • Assist with Corporate Marketing Assets: Contribute to the design of corporate marketing materials, advertisements, and promotional content, ensuring each piece reflects Pioneer Athletics’ visual identity and brand messaging.
  • Redraw and Vectorize Images: Convert and optimize raster images into high-quality vector files for use in various formats—ensuring that all images are scalable and maintain quality across different digital and print platforms.
  • Social Media and Web Design Support: Collaborate with the Content Marketing Lead to create visually engaging graphics for social media campaigns, website banners, email marketing, and other digital platforms. Ensure designs are tailored to each platform’s unique requirements.
  • Assist with Production Work: Support the design team with production tasks, such as creating mock-ups, editing images, adjusting layouts, formatting, and preparing assets for final production. You'll be responsible for ensuring that all designs are polished and ready for both digital and print output.
  • Creative Input and Collaboration: Work closely with other team members to brainstorm new ideas, propose design solutions, and refine existing designs. You’ll have the opportunity to share your creative vision while learning from the feedback of senior designers and marketers.
  • Maintain Consistent Brand Identity: Ensure that all design materials adhere to Pioneer Athletics’ brand guidelines, maintaining consistency in typography, color schemes, and overall design style across all assets.

Qualifications:

  • Proficient in Design Software: Strong working knowledge of Mac-based graphics software, including Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign. Familiarity with additional design tools (such as Adobe XD, Figma, or After Effects) is a plus.
  • Microsoft Office Skills: Comfort with Microsoft Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) for creating presentations and assisting with administrative tasks.
  • Creative Problem Solving: Ability to think creatively and develop innovative design solutions to meet business and marketing objectives.
  • Strong Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential for effective collaboration with team members, marketing colleagues, and other departments.
  • Highly Organized and Detail-Oriented: Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, ensuring attention to detail while meeting deadlines.
  • Self-Motivated and Proactive: Take initiative in identifying opportunities for improvement, proposing new ideas, and completing projects with minimal supervision.
  • Flexible and Collaborative: Willingness to work both independently and as part of a team. You should be comfortable receiving and implementing feedback from multiple sources.
  • Time Management: Skilled at prioritizing tasks and managing time effectively in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on delivering high-quality work on time.
