Job Description

Welcome to Love's! Our Credit Services department is seeking a Payments Analyst I to provide advanced analytical and strategic support across all payment operations. This role manages the configuration and implementation of payment processes for all Love’s business initiatives, supports reconciliation activities, and delivers insights to clarify complex fee structures. The analyst collaborates with the Payments team to implement new payment methods and payment processor solutions.

Job Functions:

  • Aid in the Configuration & Implement Payment process – Help to implement complex Payment processing set up for all locations, ensuring both credit cards and fleet cards are accepted.
  • Aid in the resolution of complex payment system discrepancies and issues, acting as the first point of escalation and collaborating with internal teams and external payment partners to implement permanent systematic fixes.
  • Reconcile credit card transactions using ReconNet software and/or other reconciliations. This includes analyzing and timely coding outstanding items according to procedures.
    • Ensure items are coded for collections.
    • Ensure items are coded for missing sales.
    • Ensure any anomalies identified are escalated as needed.
  • Creating Recoveries and Reversal documents.
  • Credit Card Chargebacks and Ticket Retrievals.
    • Ensure timely responses to all Credit Card Chargebacks and Ticket Retrievals.
    • Ensure any anomalies are identified and escalated as needed.
  • Other items assigned as needed.

Experience and Qualifications:

  • High School Degree or equivalent required.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • 0-2 years of experience in accounting or reconciliation is preferred.
  • 1-2 years card processing experience is preferred.

Skills:

  • Hard skills: Knowledge of Microsoft Office with strong emphasis on Excel; experience with SAP or similar ERP preferred; Experience in card processing, interchange, and chargebacks preferred.
  • Soft skills: Ability to perform and make decisions under pressure and strict deadlines; excellent time management skills; detail oriented; ability to multitask and be a team player; excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.

Typical Physical Demands:

  • Requires prolonged sitting, some bending and stooping.
  • Occasional lifting up to 25 pounds.
  • Manual dexterity sufficient to operate a computer keyboard and calculator.
  • Requires normal range of hearing and vision.
