Motion Graphics Intern 

This is a paid internship providing up to 40 hours, which will run May 12, 2026 – August 14, 2026. This is a hybrid position, partially in office (Salt Lake City, Utah) and partially remote. 

Boncom is an advertising and communications agency. We develop innovative and strategic campaigns both traditionally and in the digital realm. Do you eat, sleep, and breathe design and motion graphics? Do you love making inanimate drawings come to life? Can you apply animation principles to typography? If you answered “yes” to any or all these questions, you may be a good fit for the Motion Graphics Internship at Boncom. We are looking for a motion designer who has a variety of experiences that would make them great at jumping in to help on any type of animation project. You are a good fit if you enjoy exploring new styles and techniques and learning on the job. 

Motion Graphics Internship Job Responsibilities: 

  • Work on explainers, gifs, display ads, social posts, commercials, and more for Boncom's clients 

  • Animate illustrations and designs primarily in Adobe After Effects 

  • Develop visual concepts to communicate ideas 

  • Storyboard visual concepts 

  • Design and illustrate artwork for animations 

  • Create animatics 

  • Animate characters 

  • Animate typography 

  • Collaborate with third-party contractors on animation pre and post-production 

Minimum Qualifications: 

  • A website, reel, or Behance page with at least four samples of previous animation work  

  • Highly proficient in Adobe Creative Cloud products especially Photoshop, Illustrator, and After Effects 

  • Organizational and communication skills 

  • Willingness to be a team player, accepting and implementing feedback from both team members and clients 

Nice-to-Have Qualifications: 

  • Illustration experience 

  • C4D experience 

  • Procreate, Adobe Animate, or any hand-drawn experience
