Job Description

Purpose: The Manufacturing Specialist handles the manufacturing, repairing, and refreshing of Lingraphica’s speech generating devices (SGDs). The Manufacturing Specialist follows all established standard operating procedures for manufacturing high-quality SGDs that conform to Lingraphica’s specifications. This position works closely with the Supply Chain Manager and other functions within the Operations teams to ensure inventory availability. This position also works closely with the Product and Engineering teams in identifying, diagnosing, and resolving manufacturing and other technical issues with our SGDs. 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities: 

  • Manufactures SGDs according to established standard operating procedures 
  • Uses HubSpot ticketing pipeline to document, track, and complete manufacturing workload 
  • Completes QC testing on all SGDs before adding to inventory 
  • Performs daily refreshes on returning loaner devices  
  • Monitors available inventory and makes recommendations to Inventory team 
  • Collaborates with Product Support team to document, triage, and complete repairs in a timely manner 
  • Completes regular training with Product and Engineering teams on hardware and software updates 
  • Proactively engages in process improvement; works to improve individual and team efficiency 
  • Meets or exceeds team goals and metrics; uses reports and audits to track productivity  
  • Performs other duties as needed and engages in projects and workgroups  

Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities 

We are looking for a self-motivated individual with strong teamwork skills, excellent verbal and written communication skills, and a desire to continually grow and expand their knowledge. 

  • Experience in configuring Android, Windows, and iOS systems 
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, Zoom, and Slack 
  • Experience using HubSpot or other CRM, preferred 
  • Strong time management and organizational skills  
  • Ability to quickly adapt to shifting departmental and company needs  
  • Ability to manage and prioritize ticket caseload with a high level of accuracy 
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills 
  • Professional demeanor 

Education & Experience 

  • High School Diploma or GED 
  • 1 year of office or administrative experience 
  • 1 year of customer or technical support experience  

Additional Information

Work Environment & Physical Demands 

In-person position, located in our Princeton, NJ office. Monday through Friday, 8 am – 4 pm, 9 am – 5 pm EST. 

Work environment is that of a typical office environment. Noise level is low to moderate. 
 
Must be able to operate a computer with or without reasonable accommodation. Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. Position requires lifting overhead, twisting, bending and squatting to lift boxes or office equipment.   

Travel  

Travel is required for team/company meetings and offsites, generally not more than once per quarter. 

Lingraphica and Pay Transparency  

At Lingraphica, we are committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The starting salary range for this position is $50,000 to $55,000 per year. Placement in the starting pay is based on factors such as experience, skills, education, and internal equity.
