Overview

Are you a highly motivated, engaged student currently enrolled in a Bachelor of Science program in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering? Are you looking to do meaningful, exciting work during your summer break? Then come aboard as AMERICAN SYSTEMS' next Computer Science/Software Engineering Intern!

As a Computer Science/Software Engineering Intern, you will:

Responsibilities

A week in the life of a Computer Science/Software Engineering Intern:

  • Serve as a member of an advanced technical team.
  • Perform software and hardware development, integration, and testing for aircraft avionics systems.
  • Analyze architectural and functional requirements, specifications, and interfaces  
  • Contribute to software specifications and designs for proposed solutions 
  • Works with the development team to understand new requirements to support mission objectives

Qualifications

  • US citizenship required. Candidates must have the ability to obtain a SECRET security clearance after hiring.
  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor of Science program in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or Electrical Engineering.
  • GPA > 3.0
  • Excellent documentation and report writing skills 

Preferred skills:

  • Experience with C/C++is desired but not required

Pay Transparency Statement

AMERICAN SYSTEMS is committed to pay transparency for our applicants and employee-owners. The salary range for this position is USD $43,200.00/Yr. - USD $72,100.00/Yr. Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors permitted by law.
