Uintah Basin Rehabilitation and Senior Villa in Roosevelt, UT is hiring a dedicated Occupational Therapy Assistant to join our growing team! 

  Full Time   The successful candidate will work under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist to provide therapy services to patients with physical, mental, and emotional disabilities. The goal is to help patients achieve their maximum level of independence and improve their quality of life.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Occupational Therapist in evaluating patients' physical, mental, and emotional conditions
  • Develop and implement treatment plans based on residents' needs and goals
  • Assist residents with exercises and activities to improve their strength, mobility, and coordination
  • Teach residents how to use adaptive equipment and assistive technology to perform daily activities
  • Monitor residents' progress and adjust treatment plans as needed
  • Document residents' progress and communicate with other healthcare professionals
  • Provide emotional support and encouragement to residents and their families

Qualifications

  • Associate's degree in Occupational Therapy Assistant program
  • State licensure as an Occupational Therapy Assistant
  • Experience working in a skilled nursing facility
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
  • Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care
