Communications Specialist
The Port of Virginia – Virginia International Terminals is seeking a Communications Specialist to support the development and implementation of The Port of Virginia Communications Strategy. This role reports to the Manager, Strategic Communications and works collaboratively across all communication channels to ensure The Port of Virginia (POV) brand is aligned throughout all design, content, communications, and social media.
Role:
The Communications Specialist will support the day-to-day implementation of communication strategies and plans, with a primary focus on creating and managing digital internal and external communications, including social media, event support, branded materials, and strategic presentations, ensuring brand standards are adhered to and messaging is consistent across responsible platforms.

The Port of Virginia is a 24-hour, 7-day-a-week, 365-day-a-year operation, schedule and location may vary based on the needs of the operation. Selected applicant must be able to pass a pre-employment background check which may include any of the following: Academic record and verification of education and/or certifications; Employment history (including references); Criminal history; Driving record; Fingerprinting; drug and alcohol testing, Fit for duty Physical, Other records or information related to the candidate's suitability for the position.
