Position Summary:

The Mixer position is responsible for providing Bar service to the Casino Floor Beverage Servers. The Mixer will prepare drink orders as placed into the POS system. These include Mixed Spirits Drinks, Beer and Wine as well as Non- Alcoholic Drinks. 

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Promotes superior guest service.
  • Maintains, and perpetuates a positive organizational culture according to the principles of the Spirit of Tâlícn and the Core Values of ilani.
  • Prepare all drinks as ordered.
  • Manage all drink orders for all servers; no drinks pass the bar without a ticket.
  • Manage service and speed of drink delivery to ensure servers provide expedited service to guests.
  • Maintain cleanliness of the bar.
  • Follow Washington State sanitation practices.
  • Run glassware through washer as needed.
  • Replenish Bar and supporting equipment (printers) as needed.
  • Contact Barback for supplies as required.
  • Practice responsible Alcohol Service, MAST and TIPS Compliant.
  • Manage Inventory and assets of the Bar.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Must be a minimum of 21 years.
  • High School Diploma / GED; Recognized Equivalent of a High School Diploma (RED) or Foreign High School Diploma (FHD)
  • Must possess excellent interpersonal skills with an ability to foster a supportive and enabling team environment.
  • Flexible availability in order to respond to business demand required.
  • MAST and Food Handling certification required.
  • Bar Smarts online class completion.
  • Noise level in the work environment is usually loud to moderately loud.
  • Maintain physical stamina and work under pressure in a fast-faced, casino environment.
  • Adequate manual dexterity, including hand and wrist movement to complete beverage mixing, operate office equipment and perform light to moderate lifting.
  • Must be able to stand for an 8-hour shift.
  • Must be willing to work in a smoking environment.
  • Must be willing to adhere to company health and safety measures.
