Job Description

We are seeking a Engineering Intern to join our Pueblo, Colorado team. This internship provides an opportunity to apply your classroom learning to real-world challenges and gain hands-on experience in a dynamic operational environment.

Over the summer, you will work with the operations, maintenance, quality and processing engineering teams to create labels and tags for equipment and piping. This will ensure that everything is clearly identified and easy to follow in the field based on P&ID’s drawings.

  • Create CAD drawings to assist in active projects
  • Redline and update existing drawings based on field verification
  • Work with operations and maintenance to ensure accuracy of documentation
  • Assist in developing and improving standard operating procedures (SOPs)
  • Generate equipment and pie labels based on P&IDs
  • Help organize and maintain engineering documentation
  • Support continuous improvement efforts across operations and engineering
  • Performs other duties as they might be assigned

Requirements

  • Actively pursuing a degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing, or similar)
  • Basic CAD experience (AutoCAD or similar)
  • Willingness to spend time in the field learning systems firsthand
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and adaptable team player with strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Term

  • May 18th - August 2026, following commencement of Spring Semester

Compensation

  • Undergraduate experience $24 - $27 per hour
