Title: 2026 Bold Beginners - Data Science Intern

Location: New York, NY

Department/Discipline: Data Science

Responsibilities:

  • Learn data science fundamentals and machine learning techniques through actively engaging in training sessions and internship projects
  • Support data science and analytics team members in developing models and solutions for client needs
  • Assist in day-to-day tasks including data collection, cleaning, exploration, and preliminary analysis
  • Work to cleanse and organize large datasets, ensuring data quality for analysis and modeling
  • Build and train basic machine learning models under guidance from senior data scientists
  • Create visualizations and dashboards to communicate data findings and insights to stakeholders
  • Collaborate with analytics, media planning, and operations teams to understand business requirements and translate them into data science tasks
  • Conduct exploratory data analysis to identify patterns and trends in healthcare marketing datasets
  • Completion of curated data science assignments and projects based on learning curriculum topics
  • Assist in documenting methodologies, code, and findings for team reference
  • Attendance and participation in weekly team meetings, training sessions, and knowledge-sharing discussions

Experience:

  • Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a program in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, or related field
  • Foundational knowledge of Python and/or R for data analysis
  • Basic understanding of SQL and ability to query databases
  • Strong written and verbal communication, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
  • Experience with Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
  • Familiarity with data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, matplotlib, or similar)
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, both independently and as part of a team, multi-task and prioritize accordingly
  • Excellent organizational skills, strong attention to detail, and ability to effectively manage multiple projects
  • Introductory knowledge of statistical methods and basic machine learning concepts
  • Interest in healthcare, digital media, or healthcare marketing analytics, a plus
  • Familiarity with Git and version control, a plus
  • Experience with machine learning libraries (scikit-learn, pandas, NumPy) or Jupyter Notebooks, a plus
  • Portfolio or GitHub profile showcasing academic or personal data science projects, a plus

The range below represents the low and high end of the base salary someone in this role may earn as an employee of an Omnicom Health company in the United States.   Salaries will vary based on various factors including but not limited to professional and academic experience, training, associated responsibilities, and other business and organizational needs. The range listed is just one component of our total compensation package for employees. Salary decisions are dependent on the circumstances of each hire.
