Job Description

 Avalon Care Center Federal Way is hiring for an Administrator in Training (AIT)! Join our team to gain hands-on leadership experience in skilled nursing and grow our health care career. Skilled nursing experience, and leadership experience are a plus!

Wage is $78,000 - $85,000/yr

The Administrator in Training (AIT) is responsible for learning and developing the skills necessary to become a licensed nursing home administrator. The AIT will work closely with the current administrator and other members of the management team to gain experience in all aspects of running a skilled nursing facility.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the day-to-day operations of the facility
  • Learn and understand state and federal regulations related to skilled nursing facilities
  • Assist with the development and implementation of policies and procedures
  • Participate in staff meetings and training sessions
  • Assist with the hiring and training of new staff members
  • Assist with the management of resident care and services
  • Assist with the management of the facility's budget and financial operations
  • Assist with the management of the facility's physical plant and equipment
  • Assist with the management of the facility's marketing and public relations efforts

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration or related field
  • Experience working in a skilled nursing facility preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to learn and understand state and federal regulations related to skilled nursing facilities
  • Ability to work flexible hours as needed
