Job Description
Terac helps teams reach faster research breakthroughs through our marketplace of verified experts. We are building agents to recruit, verify, and match 10,000s experts with 1000s of opportunities from the worlds most innovative organizations.
We work with leading enterprises and are backed by top investors.
At Terac, we are attracting the worlds top experts in every domain. We are proud to supply universities around the world with generous grants to push the frontier of AI research. You will work on your campus to distribute Terac credits to relevant labs so they can access our human-labor marketplace via API to power their research
What You’ll Do
Community engagement: own academic event sponsorships, speaking submissions, and conference presence - from strategy through to on-the-ground execution.
Event marketing: You will be organizing technical roundtables, sponsoring hackathons, engaging in Hugging Face/Discord communities, and distributing technical white papers that solve actual engineering problems.
Technical storytelling: You will translate our platform’s capabilities into the language of the researcher. You aren't talking about "surveys"; you are talking about "reducing hallucination rates via high-quality RLHF" and "adversarial testing workflows."
Team communication: You will meet with our SF research team and C-Suite weekly to discuss the latest ideas, our pressing issues, and next steps.
No-busywork mentality: You are comfortable vibe-coding and adapting to the latest tools to optimize your work. The second you recognize a repeatable workflow, you're in Claude code automating it.
Bias to action: You will operate with a high-level of agency. This means not every initiative will be discussed or thought out. We're looking for someone comfortable in failure, but can come to us with a list of initiatives where you tried something, measured the impact, and either doubled down or quit - all without permission.
Data-driven: You make data driven decisions. Like any marketplace, problems can balloon at scale. It's vital we track LTV, CAC, and measure everything to ensure we make informed decisions.
Research-background: You are a masters or PhD student and are an active member of your schools research community.
While you will work remotely, we will host quarterly all-hands at our office in downtown SF
Compensation: Monthly stipend + budget to host events. You will also get a commission for all the experts you onboard from your campus.
Terac culture: Between weekly presentations, company hackathons, and an AI-first mindset, you'll be working with one of the most innovative teams on the planet.
Growth opportunities: You're joining Terac at one of the earliest stages and will have an opportunity to join the company full-time upon graduation.
