Qualifications
OrthoArizona is seeking a Medical Receptionist to provide excellent patient service and support the physical therapy staff. Key requirements include excellent customer service skills, knowledge of medical terminology, and computer proficiency. A high school diploma or GED is required, and prior medical office experience is preferred.

- Answers phone in prompt, courteous and helpful manner, screening, and routing calls as needed, creates phone note in the patient electronic medical record, and/or providing information to patients
- Be the 1st point of contact for our patients : Greet, Check In, Check Out and provide excellent patient service.
- Manage schedule, assist with insurance verification and other physical therapy insurance requirements
- Support physical therapy staff by keeping the front desk organized and running smoothly
- Assist in indexing patient documents to the correct patient chart
- Assist in routing electronic faxes to the correct location fax folder and or uploading to the correct patient chart
- Assist with other duties as needed during down time
- All other duties as assigned.
- Excellent customer / patient service
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Working knowledge of computer programs
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Understand/Perform training on practice management software
- Continue to expand knowledge of practice management software as updates occur
- Follow all Standard Operating Procedures
- Minimum Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED
- At least one year of medical office experience
- Bilingual a plus
- Basic phone handling skills - Contact Center experience
- Basic knowledge of insurance plans and the specialty referral process
