Shorter University Softball Graduate Assistant
Shorter University, a NCAA Division II institution which competes in Conference Carolinas, is currently accepting applicants for the position of Graduate Assistant to the Softball program. The position is designed to provide the chosen applicant with valuable and practical experience in coaching at the collegiate level. Potential candidates must have a strong desire to pursue a career in coaching. All activities shall be conducted within the policies and resource framework of the University, the Athletics Department, Conference Carolinas, and the NCAA.
Duties & Responsibilities:
• Assist the head coach in planning and running practices
• Help recruit/ evaluate potential student athletes
• Oversee study hall hours and help athletes maintain good academic standing
• Help with miscellaneous tasks: practice hour logs, travel plans, scouting reports, etc.
Required Qualifications:
Master’s degree options: MBA, MBA emphasis in Sports Management, or Master of Management.
Location: Rome, Georgia
Start Date: Fall Semester
