Nursing Assistants provide empathic care to patients, families, and visitors under the supervision of an RN, frequently communicating information regarding treatment procedures and visiting hours. Duties include performing simple treatments, monitoring vital signs, assisting with daily living activities, and maintaining patient dignity and confidentiality.
We are seeking a Nursing Assistant to provide empathic care to patients and their families under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. Candidates should have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, along with a knowledge of patient care. A NYS Certified Nursing Assistant license or certification from an approved certified nursing aide training program is preferred, along with one year of patient care experience and a High School Diploma or GED.

The above salary range represents SBUH’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. The specific salary offer will be based on the candidate’s validated years of comparable experience. Some positions offer annual supplemental pay such as:
Location pay for UUP, CSEA & PEF full-time positions ($4000)
Night shift differential ($000), evening shift differential ($000)
