Shady Grove Medical Center seeks to hire a Pharmacy Resident who will embrace our mission to extend God's care through the ministry of physical, mental, and spiritual healing.

As a Pharmacy Resident you will:
• Meet and successfully complete the standards of the ASHP Accredited Standards for the Post Graduate Year One Pharmacy Residency Program
• Prepare and dispenses medications
• Design, recommends, monitors, and evaluates patient-specific pharmacotherapy
• Provide Patient/family education and Conduct research/work on Projects and MUE
• Respond to Emergency codes and Participate in the hospital committees
• Participate in the process for assessing, managing, and reporting medication errors
• Under the supervision of the pharmacy staff, the PGY1 resident is trained in the same principle duties and responsibilities of the Clinical Staff Pharmacists and Clinical Specialists.

Qualified candidates will possess:
• Graduate of an accredited School of Pharmacy (PharmD degree).
• Licensed Pharmacist in the State of Maryland within 90 days of employment.
• Some hospital experience preferred
• Membership in American Society of Health-System Pharmacists, Maryland Society of Health-System Pharmacist preferred
• Active American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required

Pay Range:

$40,845.05 - $53,352.00
