Job Description

 ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
  • Direct involvement with power system apparatus diagnostics, transformers, switchgear, rotating machines and ancillary equipment.  
  • Provide focused expertise and guidance to the industry and peers on OMICRON Primary test instruments and their applications.  
  • Conduct customer visits to maintain customer relations and increase revenues.  
  • Product consultation and training on electrical theory and diagnostic methods, including application, data analysis, power system apparatus evaluation and report generation to our customer base. Topics will include, but are not limited to: Power Factor (PF), Sweep Frequency Response Analysis (SFRA), Dissolved Gas Analysis (DGA), Dielectric Frequency Response Analysis (DFR), and Partial Discharge (PD).  
  • Coordinate all technical issues with OMICRON's customers, sales representatives, and distributors.  
  • Troubleshoot technical problems for customer and sales support.  
  • Provide input on new products, product strategies, development, and application needs.  
  • Manage and develop application notes and technical papers, including presentations at relevant seminars/conferences.  
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
  • Bachelor's degree in Electronics or Electrical Engineering mandatory.  
  • Master's degree in Electronics or Electrical Engineering preferred but not required.
