Job Purpose & Scope

Responsible for supporting lending efforts across the Corporate & Institutional Banking (“CIB”) group by learning about underwriting new and renewed loans, modifications, annual/quarterly reviews, financial spreads, risk ratings and like financial analysis. 


Essential Job Functions

  1. Provides financial analysis, analytical, and underwriting support to business lines within the CIB.

  2. Ensures loan requests are underwritten consistently and in accordance with the Bank’s credit policies, procedures, and standards.

  3. Manages assigned credit transactions, ensuring the loan requests are handled efficiently and processed in a timely manner, consistent with the Bank’s standards and Service Level Agreements.

  4. Assists senior staff members with their responsibilities.

  5. Maintains good punctuality and attendance to work.

  6. Follows Bank policy, procedures, and guidelines.


Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  1. Knowledge of general financial and banking principles.

  2. Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.

  3. Ability to work effectively and professionally with staff and management at all levels of the organization.

  4. Ability to prioritize work and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.

  5. Ability to maintain confidentiality.

  6. Ability to demonstrate attention to detail, accuracy, and thoroughness in work product.

  7. Skill in using computer and Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.


Basic Qualifications

  1. Enrollment in a Bachelor degree program concentrating in business, finance, accounting, or other job-related field, required.

  2. Completion of a minimum of two (2) years of undergraduate studies, required.

  3. Coursework in commercial banking, preferred.


Job Expectations
