Job Description
AQUA Dermatology is looking for a curious, motivated Business Intelligence Intern who’s excited to turn data into meaningful insights that drive real organizational impact.
In this role, you’ll help strengthen and expand our existing BI infrastructure, enrich our data models with clear and accessible metadata, and contribute to the foundation that will support future AI‑driven initiatives. If you enjoy solving problems, exploring data from new angles, and transforming complex information into stories people can understand, this internship offers a hands‑on opportunity to grow your skills while shaping the next generation of analytics at AQUA Dermatology.
The ideal candidate has a background in data technologies like SQL and Excel, basic understanding of programing syntaxes, a strong interest in data visualization and storytelling, and most importantly, an insatiable curiosity.
Essential Skills and Functions
- Demonstrate strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience or familiarity with Power BI, and the DAX (Data Analysis Expressions) language.
- Attention to detail in their work.
- Ability to develop technical documentation explaining work produced.
- Works well in a team environment to accomplish common tasks in a collegial manner.
- Adheres to the Aqua Dermatology’s Mission Statement, Credo and Service Goals and Values.
- Assists in developing key performance indicators (KPIs) that are critical to meeting established goals and objectives and monitor business unit/functional performance against the established KPIs.
- Conducts research and ad-hoc analysis to support company goals.
Required Education and Experience
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, MIS, or a related field.
Additional Eligibility Qualifications
- Strong desire and eagerness for learning anything new
- Must have MS Excel skills
- Independent worker and analytical thinker with ability to conduct research, data analysis and resolve complex problems
- Strong quantitative skills and attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication/presentation skills
