Job Description

PLATFORM OVERVIEW 

Stream's Investment Management team leverages the extensive expertise of Stream's offices and local relationships in markets from coast to coast to make informed investment decisions based on real-time supply and demand fundamentals.  The team, comprised of 30 professionals across 4 offices, actively manages five commingled funds, along with several joint ventures and wholly owned assets. In total, Stream oversees 63 investments encompassing 34 million square feet and over $3.4 billion in assets under management. 

POSITION OVERVIEW 

As an Associate on the Investment Management team, you will be responsible for executing acquisitions, asset management, and dispositions, and will work alongside Stream’s Chief Investment Officer and other leadership. This position will be based in Charlotte, NC, and will focus on growing our investment platform in the Southeast region. You will also work closely with Stream’s industrial development team to help source and execute investment opportunities. 

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES 

• Thoroughly understand relevant Southeast industrial market dynamics and help establish internal investment strategies based on real time market intelligence 

• Foster and grow relationships within the local brokerage community 

• Perform extensive underwriting and detailed quantitative analyses for prospective investments throughout each of Stream’s markets 

• Assist in the preparation of investment memos summarizing strategic acquisitions and developments for Investment Committee and quarterly investment summaries for investors 

• Manage the due diligence and closing process for new investments 

• Work directly with asset managers to support capital management, monthly budgeting, and leasing strategy & decisions 

• Assist with quarterly and annual reporting requirements, as well as mid-year and year-end valuations 

Qualifications

• 1 to 3 years of investment or acquisition real estate experience required, preferably focused on industrial 

• Bachelor’s degree required 

• Detail-oriented with exceptional analytical and organizational skills, strong oral and written communication 

• Ability to network and build relationships within local markets 

• Excellent interpersonal skills, communication abilities, and creative problem solver 

• Strong Excel with proven modeling abilities 

• Proficiency in Argus preferred 

• Knowledge or understanding of finance and capital markets
