Why this role?

As a R&D Engineer Intern at Snyk, you'll use your development skills, passion, and problem-solving abilities to create software that ensures the security of other software products.

How You’ll Spend Your Time:

• Collaborating with our engineers to understand project requirements and contribute meaningfully to the development process.

• Leveraging best practices and modern technologies to maintain and extend our core services.

• Working across the full stack and the entire development lifecycle to build, test, deploy, and support high-quality, reliable, and performant services.

• Promoting code quality through active participation in code reviews and the application of engineering best practices.

• Contributing directly to products that are used by developer communities around the world.

• Networking across Snyk, joining "Impact" events, building professional soft skills, and engaging with a global cohort of early-career talent.

What You’ll Need:

• An eagerness to learn new technologies and a high degree of adaptability to change.

• Familiarity with programming languages such as TypeScript or Go.

• Foundational understanding of relational database design (e.g. PostgreSQL).

• A proactive attitude and a sense of accountability, paired with the ability to work independently.

• A passion for problem-solving and a desire to understand the "why" behind the code.
