Mission
QSAC is a New York City and Long Island based nonprofit that supports children and adults with autism, together with their families, in achieving greater independence, realizing their future potential, and contributing to their communities in a meaningful way by offering person-centered services. Job Summary

This position will provide administrative support to QSAC’s Offices and Programs and will need to travel accordingly. This position is considered a “floater” role and you must be able to travel to different QSAC’s locations which are not all accessible by public transit. Personal vehicle is required for this position. Travel reimbursement for mileage and tolls is possible when applicable.

Pay Rate for Position - $17.50

Job Responsibilities

Administration & Reception

  • Required to travel to center-based sites throughout NYC and Long Island
  • Will welcome and admit visitors and greet students and families, while maintaining appropriate security procedures (visitor log book, Time card swipes, etc.)
  • Ensure health, safety & welfare of individuals.
  • Perform administrative duties such as filing, faxing, ordering supplies 
  • Be able to mirror responsibilities of the Office manager
  • Maintain paper and computer files
  • Calendar management, create and edit Microsoft Office documents, as requested
  • Maintain individual /family confidentiality.
  • Will respond to and transfer all in-coming calls and take messages in a professional manner and route calls as necessary
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors and/or senior management

Qualifications & Work Experience

  • Minimum of an Associates degree highly preferred or related administrative experience required 
  • 1-2 years customer service/office experience is highly preferred
  • Punctuality and regular attendance is expected
  • Commitment to company values and adherence to policies is essential
  • Excellent customer service skills are required
  • Ability to multi-task, track and follow-up on all outstanding issues and projects
  • Dependability and flexibility is expected
  • Excellent interpersonal skills are required
  • Working knowledge Microsoft Office is required
