ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Assist with creating social media content (graphics, short form video, photos, captions).
Draft, schedule, and publish posts across platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and YouTube.
Monitor social channels for member questions, comments, and engagement opportunities.
Participate in brainstorming content ideas that support campaigns, community events, and member education.
Capture photos and videos at branch events, volunteer activities, and internal engagements for use on social platforms.
Track social media metrics, prepare weekly or monthly performance reports, and identify engagement trends.
Maintain brand consistency in messaging, look, and voice across all digital platforms.
Research social media best practices and emerging trends to support innovation.
Assist with administrative tasks within the Marketing team as needed.
QualificationsEducation
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Currently pursuing a degree in marketing, communications, digital media, public relations, business, or related field preferred.
3.0 GPA required
Required Knowledge:
Basic understanding of social media platforms and their features.
Familiarity with brand voice, content strategy, and audience engagement principles.
Awareness of current social media trends, especially in short form video and digital storytelling.
Interest in learning about financial services and member focused messaging.
Experience Required:
Experience creating content for personal, academic, or organizational social media accounts preferred.
Previous internship, campus involvement, or volunteer experience related to marketing is a plus.
Experience with photography or video production is helpful but not required.
Skills/Abilities:
Strong writing and communication skills.
Creative thinker with attention to detail and visual aesthetics.
Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
Proficiency with Canva or similar graphic design tools preferred.
Basic understanding of video editing tools (CapCut, Adobe Premiere, etc.) is helpful.
Ability to manage time, meet deadlines, and balance multiple tasks.
Professionalism when interacting with members online in comment sections or messages.
