• Determine percent of defect from representative samples
• Be fully versed on all SOP’s pertaining to your work area
• Be able to work primarily in refrigerated conditions all day
• Run select representative samples for examination
• Work with and communicate effectively with the entire Operations team
• Share best practices for proper handling with the Operations team
• Organize multiple tasks on a daily basis and adjust as needed
• Utilize USDA inspection process when necessary
• Communicate good and bad quality issues with Operation and Quality departments
• Communicate effectively with all departments
• Maintain awareness of food safety
• Perform other duties as requested by QA Manager, QA Superintendent or QA Supervisor

  • Ability to read, write, and verbally communicate with all team members
  • Possess basic math skills
  • Possess adequate hand dexterity to move objects

  Skills and Knowledge:

  • Ability to multitask in an effective manner
  • Working knowledge of computers, including, but not limited to Microsoft Word and Excel spreadsheets, a plus
  • Ability to solve problems and think independently
  • Strong communication skills with all team members at the mill
