We are seeking a Intern to:

• Quality assessment and improvement. 
• Operational process and work system assessment and redesign.
• Design of quantitative and/or qualitative evaluation studies.
• Receive on-the-job training in a variety of different departments within the hospital system, to identify the area you are most interested in.
• Opportunities are available in several departments.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent Required
• Pursuing a degree / certification in related field Preferred

Work Experience

• General customer service/ administrative experience or experience in field of study Preferred

UW Health Science Drive Medical Center - on Madison’s west side, is an 84,000-square foot facility housing physician and rehabilitation professionals in Cardiology, Integrative Medicine, Orthopedics, Radiology, Spine and Sports Medicine. Our Fitness Center provides a resource for both working with patients while under our care and providing education after discharge. This environment creates many opportunities for face-to-face collaboration in the care of our patients.

Madison Surgery Center – in downtown Madison - a joint venture between UW Health and UnityPoint Health-Meriter. We are certified by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services and manage fully furnished operating suites and procedural rooms, complete with state-of-the-art monitoring equipment, surgical technology and anesthesia.

UW Health Rehabilitation Hospital – on Madison’s east side - provides post-acute inpatient rehabilitation care in a free-standing rehab hospital.  The 50-bed hospital offers short-term inpatient rehabilitation services and education for people recovering from an injury or an illness and will specialize in helping patients regain their ability to perform daily tasks, regain cognitive processes and physical function, restore basic life skills and facilitate psychosocial adjustment and return to the community.

UW Health Pharmacy Services Building – a non-clinical location in Middleton that houses many Pharmacy professionals. These employees perform various services and duties, including pharmacy administration, pharmacy primary care services, medication prior authorization, sterile and non-sterile compounding, unit dose packaging, and specialty/mail service program.
