POSITION SUMMARY:   

The Sales Intern will support the Sales team by assisting with day‑to‑day activities, projects, and administrative tasks while completing a capstone project focused on a real business challenge within the commercial organization. This role provides hands‑on exposure to sales strategy, customer management, and business analytics, offering opportunities to learn, innovate, and contribute to Mizkan’s business objectives.  

Essential Functions:

  • Complete a designated sales-focused capstone project from start to finish, including research, analysis, execution, and a final presentation to key stakeholders.
  • Support the Sales team with ongoing projects and deliverables, such as customer analysis, sales reporting, and promotional support.
  • Conduct market, customer, and category research; compile data; and prepare summaries or reports to support sales decision-making.
  • Assist with administrative and coordination tasks, including scheduling meetings, maintaining documentation, and organizing sales materials.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas to improve sales processes, tools, and execution.
  • Collaborate cross‑functionally with teams such as Marketing, Finance, and Supply Chain as needed.
  • Maintain confidentiality and adhere to all company policies and procedures.
  • Maintain a hybrid work schedule, including regular, predictable in‑person attendance on business days when the Company requires in‑office presence. On non‑required in‑office days, the intern is expected to be fully engaged and available during designated work hours.

Key Skills/Competencies:

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Solid organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word), with the ability to analyze and present data.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively in a team environment.
  • Curiosity, initiative, and a willingness to learn in a fast‑paced sales environment.

Education/Experience/Qualifications/Certifications: 

  • Currently enrolled in a college or university program.
  • Must have at least a 3.0 GPA or higher.
  • Preferred majors include, but are not limited to: Sales, Business Administration, Marketing, Finance, Supply Chain, Analytics, or related fields.

The hourly rate for this internship position is $20 per hour.

 

Physical Requirements and Work Conditions:

  • Ability to remain in a stationary position (sitting or standing) for extended periods while working on a computer.
  • Frequent use of hands and fingers for typing, writing, and handling documents.
  • Ability to communicate clearly in person and via electronic devices.
  • Ability to move within the office environment, including walking short distances and navigating stairs if applicable.
