The Police Academy officially begins on September 28th and lasts for twenty-one (21) weeks. Recruits who make it to the Academy attend Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm. It is not a live-in facility, so recruits go home at the end of each day.

Minimum Qualifications
Twenty-one (21) years of age (but less than 46 years of age at Academy start date)

Driving record acceptable to the City's insurance carrier
Excellent history of personal conduct, behavior, and employment
