Job Summary

We are seeking a results-driven marketing student seeking to join Coherent as a summer intern to assist in updating website content, optimizing product descriptions, and enhancing digital product presentation to drive increased engagement and sales conversions.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

• Work with external distribution partners to get latest OFC'26 and ECOC'25 uploaded on their sites
• Work with Sales and Product Marketing to identify 3 new products to highlight on each external partner website as 'Coming Soon'
• Update product descriptions and Coherent profile information on External Sites
• Needs to be proficient in Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc).
• Be able to collaborate with America Distribution team and product management. 
• Tenacity to get projects completed by people who don’t work for you. 
• Some data entry and reporting.

Education & Experience

• Education Level Required: Bachelor's
•      - Rising Junior (completed 2 years by start)
•      - Rising Senior (completed 3 years by start)
• Majors: Marketing
• Relevant coursework on Electronics Sales or Electronics Distribution is a plus.
• Open to currently enrolled students or those who have graduated within one year of the internship start date.

• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Team-oriented but able to work independently when needed.
• Adaptable and eager to learn in a fast-paced environment.
• Attention to detail and time management.
• Internship Duration: 10 – 14 weeks.

Working Conditions

• This role will be based on-site in Fremont, CA

• Regular use of a computer and other office equipment is necessary.

Physical Requirements

• Sitting for extended periods while working on a computer or in meetings.
• Use of hands and fingers for typing, writing, and handling documents.
• Occasional lifting of objects or materials up to 20 pounds for administrative tasks.

•  Ability to communicate verbally and in writing.
