CMHA is looking to hire a part-time, 20 hours per week, Professional Development Intern. This position will be located at 233 Main Street, New Britain, CT 06051. Flexible days and hours.   Compensation: 
  • Undergraduate: $18.00
  • Graduate: $19.00
  Position Summary: As a Professional Development Intern, you will gain knowledge of the day-to-day operations within the Professional Development and Education Department. You will gain exposure to development and scheduling of various training opportunities offered to internal and external staff.  Utilization of Learning Management Systems and electronic programs including Relias, Eventbrite, and Canva to provide assistance with marketing training programs internally and externally.  Assistance with developing a formal training website, and scheduling/coordinating CMHA’s first ever staff development day   Essential Responsibilities and Target Outcomes:
  • Conduct a staff and program manager survey to identify clinical learning needs across programs.
  • Review relevant MIS and quality data to support identification of training priorities.
  • Compile findings into a summary report with recommendations for targeted professional development initiatives.
  • Develop and present one data-informed training OR coordinate and facilitate an external presenter based on identified needs.
  • Assist with updating and maintaining training content and documentation within the Learning Management System (Relias).
  • Participate in meetings and gain exposure to workforce development planning and quality improvement processes.
  Requirements:
  • Must be enrolled in an accredited college or university pursuing a Bachelors, Masters, or PHD degree in Psychology, Social Work or similar
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Excellent written/verbal communication, interpersonal, presentation, facilitation, time management, critical thinking, decision-making, and analytical skills.
  • Technical aptitude and ability to navigate MS Office applications including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook.
  • Valid CT Driver’s License.
