Job Description

The Larson Group Peterbilt is looking for an experienced Truck Porter to join our dynamic team. The Truck Porter is responsible for maintaining and organizing the New and Used Truck Lots. This position ensures all company vehicles are cleaned and operate correctly after repairs. This position will also transfer equipment to other TLG Dealerships.

Responsibilities:

  • Have a valid class A CDL
  • Transports trucks as needed to fuel or deliver to customers.
  • Test drive trucks for service department
  • Maintain a clean and professional personal appearance.
  • Must be friendly and courteous to all customers.
  • Operate equipment in accordance with DOT regulations and company safety policies.
  • Complete required DOT and company related paperwork.
  • Ensures all trucks start and move on a weekly basis.
  • Ensures that trucks have sufficient fuel for test drives.
  • Installs TLG mud flaps on all trucks and performs minor repairs and other installations.
  • Ensures proper operation of all lights and air systems.
  • Notifies manager immediately of defects on trucks.

Qualifications:

  • Must possess a high school diploma.
  • Must possess or obtain a Class A CDL.
  • Motor Vehicle Record must adhere to TLG MVR guidelines.
  • Two years of experience in a similar position is preferred.
  • A mechanical aptitude is recommended.
