SmithLife Homecare is currently seeking a friendly, organized, and detail-oriented Receptionist/Administrative Assistant to join our team at our Washington, DC office. This position plays a key role in creating a welcoming and efficient front office environment while supporting daily administrative operations.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the first point of contact by answering incoming calls, transferring them appropriately, and taking messages when needed

  • Provide general administrative support including data entry, preparing reports, and maintaining organized records

  • Maintain a clean, stocked, and professional office environment

  • Track and send out birthday cards, deactivation/deceased letters, and other communications

  • Monitor and ensure caregiver compliance with clock in/out and task log completion

  • Assist caregivers and clients with inquiries and provide timely support

  • Respond to new client inquiries, offering basic information about our services

  • Collaborate with office staff to ensure smooth and efficient operations


Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalent


Qualifications:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Strong organizational and time management skills

  • Ability to prioritize tasks and multitask in a fast-paced environment

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)

  • Experience in customer service or front desk support

  • Proficient with office equipment such as printers, copiers, and scanners

  • Friendly, professional demeanor and a team-oriented mindset

  • Ability to work independently and maintain confidentiality with sensitive information
