ABOUT THE JOB

The Tepa Companies are seeking a GIS Intern who will gain exposure to a variety of technology service areas while performing meaningful, hands-on, real-world work. This experience is designed to enhance your classroom learning and help you envision your future career path.

The Tepa Companies Internship Program is a paid, 12-week opportunity. Based on workload and academic schedules, interns will work approximately 40 hours per week at the designated office location.

Job Functions:

  • Assists with field execution support of construction projects.

  • Assists with estimating, scheduling, developing bid packages, issuing RFI’s, and coordination of submittals.

  • Observes and supervises construction activities.

  • Assists with project close out activities.

  • Learns about the Support of our Field Staff.

  • Interacts with design professionals and construction management teams.

  • Assists with tracking and forecasting project budgets.

  • Assists with safety enforcement.

  • Organizes and attends project meetings.

  • Other duties as assigned.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

  • Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in engineering, Construction Management, or another related field from an accredited program. 

  • Must be within two years of graduation (Rising Junior/Rising Senior) 

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office suite

  • Demonstrated leadership skills

  • Ability to be resourceful and proactive in dealing with issues that may arise

  • Ability to organize, multitask, prioritize, and work under pressure
