Job Description
Position Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated Data Analysis Intern with an interest in aerospace and aviation systems to support analytical projects related to engineering, operations, and supply-chain data. This internship is designed for a senior-year student looking to apply academic knowledge to real-world aerospace datasets and gain exposure to industry practices.
The intern will work closely with engineering, operations, and business teams to analyze structured data, identify trends, and support decision-making using data-driven insights.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze large datasets related to aerospace components, maintenance records, marketplace data, or supply-chain metrics
- Clean, normalize, and validate data from multiple sources (Excel, CSV, databases, ERP systems)
- Create dashboards, charts, and summary reports for technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Assist with trend analysis, cost analysis, and performance metrics
- Support engineering or PMA-related projects through data extraction and documentation
- Develop and maintain spreadsheets, scripts, or queries to automate recurring analyses
- Collaborate with engineers and analysts to translate business or technical questions into data solutions
- Document methodologies, assumptions, and findings clearly and concisely
Required Qualifications
- Senior-year undergraduate student pursuing a degree in Data Analytics, Engineering (Aerospace, Mechanical, Industrial, Systems), Applied Mathematics, Computer Science, Or a closely related field
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, formulas, charts)
- Experience with at least one of the following:
- Python
- SQL
- Power BI, Tableau, or similar visualization tools
- Ability to work with structured technical data
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Interest in aviation/aerospace industry careers
- U.S. work authorization
