Role Overview

We’re looking for a Finance Transformation Intern who acts as a generalist across Accounting, Strategic Finance, and FP&A, tasked specifically with identifying "manual friction" and applying AI-driven solutions to automate and elevate our financial operations.

Key Responsibilities

• AI Implementation & Prompt Engineering: Partner with the Accounting and Strategic Finance teams to identify workflows (e.g., variance analysis, contract review, or expense classification) that can be optimized using LLMs and generative AI tools.
• Cross-Functional Generalist Support: Rotate through different finance pillars—from closing the books with the Controllership team to building long-range models with Strategic Finance—ensuring a holistic view of the company’s "financial engine."
• Process Mapping & Automation: Document "as-is" manual processes and design "to-be" automated workflows using Python, SQL, or low-code automation platforms.
• Data Storytelling: Assist in the development of real-time dashboards that move beyond static reports, providing the executive team with predictive insights rather than just historical data.
• AI Research & Evangelism: Stay at the forefront of "FinTech" and AI trends, conducting internal workshops or "brown bag" sessions on how the team can leverage new AI features in our existing tech stack.

Qualifications & Skills

• The Hybrid Mindset: You are pursuing a degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics, but you have a "minor" (formal or self-taught) in Data Science, Computer Science, or Business Analytics.
• AI Fluency: You have hands-on experience with LLMs (ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini) and understand how to use them for data extraction, coding assistance, and document summarization.
• Technical Toolkit:
• Advanced Excel: You don't just use VLOOKUPs; you understand Power Query and data modeling.
• Programming: Proficiency in Python or SQL is highly preferred for data manipulation.
• Visualization: Familiarity with Tableau, PowerBI, or Looker.
• Systems Thinker: You don't just want to fix a cell in a spreadsheet; you want to fix the process that created the error in the first place.
• Adaptability: You thrive in ambiguity and are comfortable jumping between a technical accounting task in the morning and a high-level strategic brainstorming session in the afternoon.

The base salary range for this role is listed below. The starting salary will be determined based on skills and experience. In addition to base salary, our total rewards components include cash compensation (overtime, bonus/commissions, if eligible), benefits, and equity (if eligible).
