Job Description

Performs entry-level administrative or technical support work for the Financial & Business Services Branch of the Financial Management Division (FIN). Work involves performing a wide range of administrative, operational, technical and/or office support work for the division. Employees at this level perform assignments following specific instructions and are subject to frequent review by the immediate supervisor.

Essential Duties:

  • Support assigned tasks and projects, ensuring timely and accurate completion in alignment with established deadlines.
  • Participate in team meetings, check-ins, and training sessions to strengthen communication and collaboration skills.
  • Assist in the coordination of division-wide events including town halls, workshops, and special events
  • Provide administrative support such as scheduling meetings, organizing files, drafting announcements, surveys, newsletters, and communicating event updates.
  • Represent the Financial Management Division by volunteering at on-site events.
  • Attend and participate in FIN Internship related meetings and events.
  • Update standard operating procedures (SOPs) and training logs to ensure documentation reflects current practices.
  • Support project coordination by tracking milestones, deadlines, and follow-up actions.
  • Participate and present at divisional meetings, events, and team meetings.
  • Help manage office equipment inventory (e.g., laptops, iPhones) by updating logs and preparing issuance checklists.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


Minimum Qualifications:

Education: 

Must be a student in high school or other educational institution or accepted into a college, university or educational institution.

Other Conditions:

  • Must be at least 16 years of age, a student currently enrolled in high school or any institution of higher education to include a trade/vocational school.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, etc. highly preferred.

Competencies:

  • Perform required technical skills using the following systems: Microsoft 365 (Teams, Planner, SharePoint, etc.), similar to Peoplesoft, Tableau etc.
  • Communicate effectively
  • Follow verbal and written instructions
  • Follow applicable safety standards, practices and procedures
  • Protect sensitive and confidential information

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:

  • Light work: Lift up to 20 lbs at a time and frequently lift or carry objects up to 10 lbs

  • Sitting - prolonged periods of time

  • Standing-prolonged periods of time

  • Repetitive Motion-substantial movements of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers

  • Close Visual Acuity-work includes data/figures; view a computer screen; extensive reading
