Job DetailsJob Location: Boca Grande, FL 33921Position Type: Full Time Job Title: Forklift/yard Reports to:   Assistant Marina Manager Marina General Manager Department/Group: Marina Effective Date: October 1st, 2025 Location: On Site Travel Required: No Position Type: Non-Exempt On Call: No Job Purpose: The forklift operator/yard worker is responsible to ensure that the workers are performing their tasks correctly and that the laborers are trained to do things safely and efficiently Job Duties: Adheres to the Gasparilla Inn 4 Steps to Memorable Service. Exhibits the Gasparilla Inn Core Values. Responsible for forklift maintenance Daily yard operations in relation to hauling and launching of boats. Receive materials and goods, supervise loading and unloading, and maintain an organized, clean yard. Responsible for cleanliness of storage barns. Instruct, train and schedule personnel to meet production goals. Maintain Forklift certification. All other duties as assigned. Working Conditions and Assignments: This position is in an outdoor and warehouse setting. The position requires bending, twisting, kneeling pushing, pulling, and a moderate degree of physical exertion while transporting equipment or guest items of which will be approximately 100 lbs. This position will need to be able to safely drive a golf cart and may have frequent exposure to outside weather conditions throughout the day. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
