Qualifications
This internship is perfect for current undergraduate students or recent graduates in mechanical engineering or a related field. You'll need strong organizational and communication skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel), and ideally some experience with AutoCAD. An interest in facility infrastructure systems and previous exposure to design or construction processes are desired.
Job Description
There are two (2) available positions for this opportunity, one summer internship and one full-year internship. As an intern, you will assist the Facilities & Infrastructure Mechanical Engineers with daily operations throughout the facility, including researching and documenting mechanical systems such as heating, ventilation, air conditioning, plumbing, fire sprinklers/suppression, elevators/escalators, passenger loading bridges and baggage handling systems, and coordinating with other trades on any Port of Seattle critical mechanical systems.
