Job Description

Position Summary
The Marketing & Visitor Experience Analytics Intern will support data-driven initiatives to
enhance visitor engagement and increase attendance at the Mineral Discovery Center. The
intern will analyze sales, ticketing, and visitor behavior metrics, identify opportunities for
improvement, and propose actionable strategies to attract and retain audiences. This
position is ideal for students in Marketing, Business, Data Analytics, Economics, or
related fields seeking hands-on experience in combining data analysis with marketing and
visitor engagement.


Key Responsibilities
• Collect and analyze sales and visitor data, including ticket sales, program
participation, and merchandise trends.
• Identify patterns, trends, and opportunities to improve visitor experience and
marketing effectiveness.
• Support the development of strategies and campaigns to attract new audiences and
retain current visitors.
• Collaborate with the operations team to implement promotions, social media
campaigns, or events based on insights.
• Prepare reports and dashboards summarizing findings, metrics, and
recommendations.
• Test and evaluate new marketing or engagement initiatives for effectiveness.
• Participate in cross-functional meetings to align marketing strategies with visitor
engagement goals.

Qualifications

Qualifications
• Active student pursuing a degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Data
Analytics, Economics, or related fields.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; experience with Excel, Google Sheets,
or data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI) is a plus.

• Knowledge of marketing principles and customer engagement strategies.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proactive, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple tasks.
• Interest in museum, science, or educational outreach is desirable.
