DNA/TB Licensed Practical Nurse, Washington DC
Summary of Services
The Court Services and Offender Supervision Agency (CSOSA) operates a centralized DNA/TB laboratory responsible for offender DNA collection and Tuberculosis testing. The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) will provide DNA collection (buccal swabs), administer Mantoux Tuberculin Skin Tests (TST), record results in the SMART system, and maintain accountability for all samples and supplies.
Working Hours
The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) typically works from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, except federal holidays. Work to be performed at Government facilities must be accomplished within the CSOSA hours of operation identified above. Any work at the Government's facilities outside the above-identified hours of operation is not authorized unless written approval is provided by the Contracting Officer's Representative (COR).

Duties and Responsibilities
Shall comply with all federal, state, and local regulations, including HIPAA, 42 CFR Part 2, and CSOSA policies for confidentiality and data handling. All samples and records shall be handled to preserve the chain of custody and offender privacy.
