BBI is looking for hard working, confident, motivated, and passionate students looking to gain logistics sales experience. As a Sales Intern at BBI, you will gain hands-on experience through extensive sales logistics training, providing support to your assigned mentor, and taking on more responsibility as the internship goes on. The summer internship program is crafted to elevate your sales skill set while also gaining industry knowledge. What you’ll be doing. 

  • Gain training on the logistics industry, BBI’s proprietary TMS, and operational tasks that will set you up for success throughout the program 
  • Work alongside a sales team and Account Executive that will be your assigned mentor throughout the summer  
  • Manage freight movement and problem solve in real time by utilizing our proprietary TMS software and your gained knowledge of the logistics industry 
  • Smile and dial! You will learn how to negotiate and communicate with customers and carriers 
  • Participate in cold calling and customer-based role play activities with our sales trainers and brokers  
  • Build a prospect list of 200+ potential customers throughout the internship 
  • Collaborate with your fellow interns by participating in volunteer activities and company outings 
  • Get the chance every week to be on our company wide sales board  
  • Earn the BBI Elite Sales Certificate, demonstrating your comprehensive knowledge and expertise in the full sales cycle 

Requirements

What you’ll bring to the table. 

  • Junior and Senior undergraduates pursuing a bachelor’s degree preferred  
  • Passionate and eager to learn more about a career in sales 
  • Capable of completing the 11-week program at our Columbus or Tampa locations 
  • Able to work in office as this internship does not offer remote opportunities 
  • Hard working and competitive spirit 
  • Ability to learn and work in a fast-paced environment
