CONSUMER SALES OPERATIONS ANALYST (STARLINK)

Starlink is a revolutionary satellite constellation, delivering low-latency broadband internet around the world—bringing an unprecedented opportunity to significantly impact communities, businesses, and governments worldwide. To help deliver on our mission, the Consumer Sales Team is seeking a Consumer Sales Analyst who has experience performing complex analyses and using derived insights to drive business decisions.

The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background to effectively analyze trends, and an ownership mindset to turn insights into actions. • Conduct in-depth analyses through SQL queries and other data analysis methods to dive into problems and identify trends for decision-making
  • Own system maintenance and data integrity, and troubleshoot with other departments as necessary
  • Work with cross-functional teams to understand current processes and identify systems gaps, then drive enhancements to optimize productivity or process improvement
  • Identify and drive projects to automate non-value essential processes to remove the need for human intervention in remedial tasks
  • Train users and leaders on system developments or enhancements, and assist in troubleshooting

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in economics, mathematics, engineering, computer science, supply chain, or other quantitative discipline
  • 1+ years of experience in analytics reporting, business operations, production/supply planning, management/strategy consulting or related fields
  • 1+ years of experience building datasets to create and manage dashboards using data visualization tools (e.g. Power BI, Looker, Tableau)

PREFERRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

  • Advanced SQL proficiency (advanced joins, CTEs, etc.)
  • Understanding of database structures and ETL development
  • Experience managing multiple projects and delivering under tight timelines with resource constraints
  • Experience with scenario modeling (ie. analyzing cost/benefit of trades via Excel, Python, etc.)
  • Ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical audiences at all organizational levels
  • Excellent problem-solving and sleuthing skills, going beyond just the apparent and available answer
  • Strong project management and self-directed prioritization skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including ability to craft and present professional presentations

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must be available to work extended hours and weekends as needed
  • Willingness to travel to customer sites, other SpaceX locations, and events as needed

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:

Pay range:
Consumer Sales Operations Analyst/Level I: $80,000.00 -$100,000.00/per year

SpaceX

SpaceX designs, manufactures and launches the world’s most advanced rockets and spacecraft. The company was founded in 2002 by Elon Musk to revolutionize space transportation, with the ultimate goal of making life multiplanetary. SpaceX has gained worldwide attention for a series of historic milestones. It is the only private company ever to return a spacecraft from low-Earth orbit, which it first accomplished in December 2010. The company made history again in May 2012 when its Dragon spacecraft attached to the International Space Station, exchanged cargo payloads, and returned safely to Earth — a technically challenging feat previously accomplished only by governments. Since then Dragon has delivered cargo to and from the space station multiple times, providing regular cargo resupply missions for NASA. For more information, visit www.spacex.com.
